Charles Olsen

BIOGRAPHY

As a child I grew up in Aotearoa, New Zealand, where I made constructions from wooden blocks and Meccano, played in the mud and sat in trees. As a teenager I was taken to England where I somehow ended up on a fine art course at Middlesex Polytechnic. In 2003 I came to Spain drawn by Spanish artists and flamenco guitar. I explore my creativity and my relationship to this world through paint, photography, writing, music, talking with people, closing my eyes and smelling and listening … dance, reading, dreaming.

BIOGRAFÍA

Crecí en Aotearoa, la tierra Maorí de Nueva Zelanda donde creaba construcciones con bloques de madera y el Mecano, me revolcaba por el barro y subía a los árboles. Mis padres me llevaron a Inglaterra en mi adolescencia donde al final me licencié en Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Middlesex. Vine a España en 2003 atraído por los pintores españoles y la guitarra flamenca. Exploro mi creatividad y mi relación con el mundo a través de la pintura, la fotografía, la escritura, la música, conversaciónes con mis amigos … cierro los ojos y percibo el mundo con el olfato y el oído … bailo, leo, sueño.
